Maple Syrup Protein Powder Custard Recipe

For those of you who enjoy coming up with alternatives to a protein shake here is a quick and easy recipe to create a maple syrup flavoured custard using our protein powder.



It is super simple with maybe 2 x scoops of our Vanilla Protein Powder Supplement, a dash of maple syrup for sweetness & some water. You can adjust the amounts to change the consistency to your tastes.


Maple syrup is usually made from the xylem sap of sugar maple, red maple, or black maple trees, although it can also be made from other maple species. There are hundreds of variations available and it is a great way to sweeten food.


Very similar to coconut sugar and honey, maple syrup is a slightly better option than regular sugar, but it should still be consumed in moderation. 


Maple syrup contains some minerals and over 24 different antioxidants. Normally maple syrup is about 2/3 sucrose, or table sugar — 1/3 cup (80 ml) supplies around 60 grams of sugar. So for those who are on a strict diet and keeping an eye on their sugar intake just check the brand you are using.
